Birlasoft’s cloud business (which contributes more than 45% of the total revenue) has been the fastest-growing practice. This manifests in the form of ~50% YoY client growth and 30-40% growth in cloud revenue in the past 12 months.
It has actively taken a platform-centric approach to deliver hybrid cloud services through its flagship iSight platform, automation-based cloud operations, and management tool. Currently, it is offered through 4 different modules, including IT operations management, end-user management, ITSM, and cloud management.
It offers hybrid cloud services under its Infrastructure & Cloud Technology umbrella. Its customer base is mainly concentrated around manufacturing, healthcare, and retail & CPG segment, which represents more than 80% of its cloud revenue.
Birlasoft Provides comprehensive cloud offering encompassing cloud assessment, advisory, benchmarking, and consulting. These are offered through a flexible pricing approach combining pay-as-you-go, cost-based, milestone-based, and subscription-based models.
Birlasoft has a very strong and long-standing partnership with Oracle (Platinum partner). To date, it has conducted 100+ engagements and offers a wide range of solutions ( example: supply chain planning cloud, CX cloud, DaaS for SaaS, among others) supported by 300+ certified resources.
It has also partnered with major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), technology providers (Dell, HPE, Cisco, Nutanix), and security providers (Fortinet, Symantec, Palo Alto) around joint go-to-market (GTM), solution development, and PoC development.
With a strategic focus on cloud security, it has established a global security operations center (SOC) in partnership with Blue Sapphire to design a cybersecurity resilience framework and manage alerts and NOC operations.
Investments & Innovation
Birlasoft intends to double its cloud revenue over the next 12 months and increase productivity utilizing automation at various levels of client engagements.
It has established an Innovation Lab where it co-innovates with CloudFX (cloud management, dashboard) and Actifio (DR-as-a-service). It is proactively engaged in developing propositions for retail & CPG customers and has launched a test case in India this year.
From developing the human capital standpoint, it has significantly made investments to expand its cloud practice (~33% YoY increase) in areas of microservices, DevOps, and public cloud platforms.
