Biography
Chitra Rajeshwari has more than 20 years of Management and Business Development experience. Chitra leads the development and implementation of the Avasant Foundation’s mission through global initiatives to empower deserving young women and men through education, employment & entrepreneurship in the new digital economy and providing training on cultural principles. Chitra has also worked with state and local governments, international organizations including World Bank, USAID, and Fortune 500 corporations. Under Chitra’s leadership Avasant Foundation was recognized by Clinton Global Initiative for its Youth Empowerment initiatives in Jamaica and Haiti in 2015 and 2016. She received a Stevie award in 2018, the Red ladder award for Women in business in 2020 and a Certificate of Congressional Recognition award in 2024 (US House of Representatives). Chitra also acts as Lead chair for Women Empowerment, Leadership and Diversity chapter.
