The Autonomous EUC Era: From Device-Centric IT to Experience-Driven Operations

January, 2026

End-user computing (EUC) is shifting from device-centric, fragmented environments to a service-based, cloud-delivered operating model. Enterprises are adopting cloud PCs, unified platforms, and zero-touch life cycle management to simplify deployment, standardize operations, and reduce IT overhead. At the same time, end-user support is evolving from reactive, ticket-driven models to autonomous, AI-led service desks. In response, service providers are offering integrated EUC platforms that unify provisioning, device management, observability, and end-user support.

Both demand-side and supply-side trends are covered in Avasant’s End-User Computing Services 2025–2026 Market Insights™ and End-User Computing Services 2025–2026 RadarView™, respectively. These reports present a comprehensive study of EUC service providers and closely examine the market leaders, innovators, disruptors, challengers, and tech pioneers. They also provide insight into key market trends and developments shaping the EUC environment.

We evaluated 41 service providers across two dimensions: practice maturity and future-proofing, including the partner ecosystem and its investments and innovations. Of the 41 providers, we recognized 29 that brought the most value to the market during the past 12 months.

The report recognizes service providers in five categories:

    • Leaders: Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, HCLTech, Infosys, NTT DATA, TCS, and Unisys
    • Innovators: Atos, DXC Technology, Kyndryl, LTIMindtree, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, and Zensar
    • Disruptors: Birlasoft, Computacenter, Fujitsu, Genpact, HP, ITC Infotech, and UST
    • Challengers: Compucom, Happiest Minds, Insight, Microland, Stefanini, and YASH Technologies
    • Tech Pioneers: Dell Technologies

Figure 1 below from the full report illustrates these categories:

“Enterprises are moving away from reactive, ticket-driven support models toward autonomous, AI-led service desks,” said Rachit Bhagat, partner at Avasant. “They are investing in self-healing, predictive operations, and automation, and are no longer just resolving issues faster; they are preventing incidents altogether.”

The reports provide several findings, including the following:

    • Enterprises are graduating toward autonomous AI-led service desk models, enabling 30% lower costs and 40% faster issue resolution.
    • They are adopting zero-touch device onboarding for quicker Day 1 setups, reduced IT workload, and 90% faster onboarding.
    • Organizations are also shifting from fragmented endpoint tools to unified experience layers to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
    • Cloud PCs are shifting end-user computing from device-centric management to service-based delivery models.

“Enterprises are increasingly favoring unified experience layers over fragmented tools,” said Gaurav Dewan, research director at Avasant. “By consolidating endpoint and workspace capabilities, they are reducing context switching and improving productivity, security, and efficiency

The RadarView also features detailed profiles of 29 service providers, along with their solutions, offerings, and experience in assisting enterprises in their EUC environment modernization journeys.
