CEO & Chairman's Report on Avasant Gender Census - June 2022
Los Angeles, CA | June 17, 2022
In mid-2017, Avasant launched a program to balance our gender numbers across all geographies and positions. It is my pleasure to announce that since then, our female employees have increased by over 400%, with women now accounting for 41% of our total employee base. I am also thrilled to report that on June 13 2022, Avasant North America reached 51% women and 49% men.
As we celebrate this milestone, we acknowledge that the work is not done. We are continuing investments to increase diversity in leadership and achieve gender parity throughout our company. At all levels and functions, the women at Avasant have been integral for our success, innovation and moving our business forward.
We remain committed to creating more opportunities through our Partner Pathways program and other initiatives to support, empower and grow our women as leaders. Late last year, we launched our People & Culture Leadership Committee, which as part of its mission, is focused on supporting women in leadership and innovation within Avasant and globally through:
- Leadership Development & Promotion of Women as Thought Leaders
- Awarding Client’s that promote Women Leaders
- Technology Education & Women in Tech External Programs
- Mentorship and Coaching
- Networking & Partnership Opportunities
In addition, we are partnering with the United Nations Global Compact on their Gender Equality Accelerator Programme. The goal of the Programme is to strengthen the implementation of the Women’s Empowerment Principles and Sustainable Development Goals 5 and 10 (Gender Equality and Reduced Inequalities).
Consider that since 2020, Avasant has doubled its headcount. This is significant change in just 2 years. At Avasant, we will continue to champion a culture of diversity and inclusion and ensure that our employees have equitable opportunities to succeed as we strive to achieve a more gender-balanced company.
I appreciate all your support.
Best,
Kevin S. Parikh
