Navigating Global Headwinds with AI-led Transformation and GCC-driven Innovation

August, 2025

Global enterprises are navigating a complex macroeconomic environment shaped by inflation, tariffs, and geopolitical pressures while accelerating digital transformation. AI, cloud, and cybersecurity are central to enterprise strategies, with AI budgets shifting toward multi-agent systems, orchestration frameworks, and advanced automation. Organizations are looking to embrace outcome-led models, creating new roles, and recalibrating talent strategies. In response, service providers, known as Digital Masters, are pivoting their playbook around three pillars—AI-led innovation, specialized talent, and Global Competency Center (GCC) enablement. They are increasingly investing in proprietary AI assets, scaling talent-as-a-service models, and enabling end-to-end GCC transformation to drive innovation, efficiency, and resilience.

Avasant’s Digital Masters: Digital Technology Transformation 2025 Market Insights™ provides a peek into the latest enterprise trends, while the Digital Masters: Digital Technology Transformation 2025 RadarView™ provides service provider perspectives along with analyst insights.

This report is the culmination of a rigorous, year-long research initiative wherein we assessed over 69 global technology service providers across three dimensions:

    • Digital practice maturity: An assessment of service provider capabilities in eight technology prerequisites – advanced networks, applied AI, blockchain, cybersecurity, data management and advanced analytics, hybrid enterprise cloud, intelligent automation, and IoT. These eight prerequisites are crucial to a true enterprise transformation.
    • Digital execution: An evaluation of the provider’s ability to converge multiple technologies for business benefits.
    • Future centricity: An analysis of the provider’s business and technology vision.

Through a detailed assessment, we recognized 15 providers whose breadth and depth of capabilities allow them to fully support their clients’ digital transformation efforts.

The RadarView recognizes service providers in four categories:

    • Leaders: Accenture, Cognizant, HCLTech, TCS, and Wipro
    • Innovators: Capgemini, IBM, Infosys, and Tech Mahindra
    • Disruptors: LTIMindtree, NTT DATA, and UST

“Enterprises are navigating persistent inflation, tariffs, and geopolitical uncertainty while accelerating digital transformation,” said Anupam Govil, managing partner at Avasant. “Agentic AI has become the killer App of GenAI for enterprises, which is boosting adoption and real value generation.”

The full report provides several findings and recommendations, including the following:

    • While global GDP growth is projected to reach 3.0% in 2025, persistent inflation, high debt, and geopolitical risks pose significant challenges to financial stability.
    • Enterprises are rapidly reallocating digital budgets toward AI/ML, with agentic AI now commanding up to 30% of the share, as organizations move beyond generative AI to multi-agent systems and orchestration frameworks for advanced operational use cases.
    • Eleven percent of deals are now outcome-based, underscoring the shift toward results-driven pricing. AI-driven productivity is reshaping contracts, talent strategies, and new roles to ensure transparency, trust, and effective AI integration.
    • Around 25% of GCCs prioritize engineering R&D and digital technologies. Of these, nearly half leverage analytics and AI/ML to drive transformation and innovation.
