Outside Services and Personnel Costs as a Percent of Central IS Budget in 2002

Outside services is comprising a smaller percentage of the 2002 central IS budget in 2002, while personnel costs are comprising a higher percentage of the budget according to the 13th annual Information Systems and E-Business Spending study conducted by Computer Economics.

In 2002, outside services were 5.7% of the central IS budget compared to 7.7% during three prior three-year period. Personnel costs were 36.0% of the central IS budget in 2002 compared to 31.8% during three prior three-year period.

Figure 1 shows Outside Services and Personnel Costs as a percent of Central IS Budget in 2002. The AnnuMark represents the current year and the TriMark shows aggregate three-year trends from 1999 to 2001.
