Partnership with the United Nations Global Compact

Avasant has been a member of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) since 2011, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our steadfast dedication is reflected in our annual reporting to the UN Global Compact, sponsorship, partnership, and participation, affirming our ongoing engagement with global sustainability initiatives. We are committed to advancing sustainability and fostering inclusive growth, both within our organization and across the broader business community. Avasant reports bi-annually to the UN Global Compact on its Corporate Social Responsibility and its Communication on Progress. This is supported by the CEO Letter of Commitment and is realized through Avasant’s annual active collaboration with the UN Global Compact. This involves leveraging the UN’s resources to engage employees on sustainability initiatives and opportunities for education, as well as active participation in the UN Global Compact’s SDG Accelerator Programs. Upon successful completion of these programs, the Global Compact extended invitations to Avasant to address the private sector on the SDGs. Avasant was also a proud sponsor and participant of the United Nations Global Compact: Uniting Business Live. We remain dedicated in our pursuit of a future where sustainable development principles guide every facet of our operations, ensuring enduring prosperity for generations to come.

No Poverty

Avasant’s Foundation has made a significant impact on the lives of 52,000+ individuals worldwide. Through its digital job-skills training programs, the foundation has provided youth with the tools they need to secure meaningful employment opportunities, thereby improving their own lives, as well as those of their families and communities. The true value of education for job creation is immeasurable, and the ripple effect of the Foundation's efforts will undoubtedly continue to be felt for years to come.

Quality Education

Avasant supports global education through its various sponsorships and partnerships. Avasant continues to engage its employees in continuous learning programs, training opportunities, and scholarships to pursue their educational goals. Training on sustainability and corporate responsibility is also a priority at Avasant. In 2023, Avasant consultants were engaged in 3 SDG Accelerators to further their learning on the UN’s 2030 Agenda, and the company is actively engaged on the UN Global Compact’s learning academy as an educational resource. Furthermore, Avasant is a proud sponsor of the TYE program, aimed at equipping young minds with the resources to enhance their learning and build their entrepreneurial skills. Additionally, the training programs provided by Avasant’s Foundation are individually tailored to each country’s need by creating unique curriculum with specific goals, content, strategies, resources, and evaluation methods. The content and basic resources are designed by Avasant consultants through Avasant’ s Associate Engagement initiative, which encourages employees to contribute towards our mission to furthering SDG 4.

Gender Equality

Gender Equality is a key tenet of Avasant’s Corporate Social Responsibility policy under our Women & Youth centric commitment. Avasant has engaged in diversity hiring over the past 2 years and continues to pioneer equal representation across all levels of the organization. Annually, Avasant runs an annual International Women’s Day campaign to champion diversity and gender parity within the technology industry, and to raise awareness on the importance of equality and inclusion.
