Avasant Foundation Executive Director recognized as “Member of the Year” by IAOP at Outsourcing World Summit 2019

Avasant Foundation, a not-for-profit arm of Avasant LLC, is proud to announce that Chitra Rajeshwari, its Executive Director, was awarded “Member of the Year” at this Outsourcing World Summit by the Industry Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP). Rajeshwari is the Chair of IAOP’s Women’s Empowerment, Leadership and Diversity chapter and has worked tirelessly to affirm and proliferate the values of inclusivity and diversity, not as token ornamentations but as true organizational values. She is also an active member of the CSR and Impact Sourcing team and served as a judge this year for the Global Impact Sourcing Award.

IAOP’s Member of the Year honors association members who have made exceptional contributions to the association and its members. These individuals are recognized by their peers at a special awards luncheon held at the association’s annual global gathering — OWS®. Winners are nominated and selected by the IAOP Team.

Debi Hamill, CEO of IAOP remarked on Rajeshwari’s unstoppable commitment to shaping the Women Empowerment: Leadership and Diversity chapter into the most dynamic IAOP has ever seen. “Not only does she chair the Women’s Empowerment chapter, and chair it well, but she is incredibly involved, and it is her destiny to promote impact sourcing as she works tirelessly in that respect,” Hamill noted.

Through years of effort and conversation, we’ve been able to push our collective understanding to a place that recognizes that it’s far from being enough to simply hire diversely. Certainly, there is still distance to be covered as we seek to bridge that gap, but I am proud to take a moment to reflect on the strides that have been made thus far,” Rajeshwari commented.

Rajeshwari was brought on board at Avasant Foundation in January 2014, with the goal of aligning corporate social responsibility initiatives for Avasant, LLC by leveraging its expertise in globalization, rural economic development, skills development, and technology services. Avasant Foundation’s mission is to identify and support programs that uplift and provide opportunities to the needy, especially youth, in underdeveloped and emerging economies. Under her directorship, Avasant Foundation won the Global Impact Sourcing Influencer award in 2018.
