Empowering the Workforce: Celebrating Graduates of the Avasant Digital Skills Program in The Bahamas

On November 13th, Avasant Foundation hosted the “Empowering the Workforce” event at the Margaritaville Hotel in Nassau, The Bahamas, celebrating the remarkable achievements of the graduates of the Avasant Digital Skills Training Program. This special evening honored the students who successfully completed the program, which provided young Bahamians with the essential digital skills needed to excel in today’s rapidly evolving economy. The graduates were celebrated for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to becoming leaders in the digital workforce.

Kevin S. While artificial intelligence (AI) is often a buzzword, its integration highlights the importance of establishing national and global standards, along with ethical frameworks, to responsibly address both its opportunities and challenges. This collaborative initiative by Avasant and the IDB Lab aligns perfectly with The Bahamas’ vision for a sustainable and inclusive digital future.”

Mr. Clinton Rolle, Managing Partner at Sun Oil Ltd, The Bahamas, remarked on the necessity of digitalization: “In today’s world, digitalization is no longer optional—it is a key that unlocks doors to efficiency, connection, and progress. Avasant Digital Skills

Mrs. Shirely Gayle, IADB Country Representative for The Bahamas, praised the program’s impact: “This program has opened doors for young Bahamians by emphasizing workforce development, youth empowerment, and IT advancements, aligning with the mission to build a strong and inclusive economy where everyone can thrive.
