Los Angeles, CA, March 22nd, 2016 – Avasant Foundation’s third annual fundraiser, Golf for Impact, raised $210,000 for youth skill development programs in emerging countries.
Last Tuesday, the Foundation hosted executives from 21leading technology firms at one of Southern California’s premier golf venues,Trump National Golf Club. The scramble tournament was followed by a cocktail and dinner reception to better learn about the Foundation and its growing presence.
“Avasant Foundation continues to build educational programs that effectively create sustainable careers, equipping youth from some of the most underdeveloped regions in the world with the skills they need to play an active role in the global community,” remarks Chitra Rajeshwari, Executive Director of Avasant Foundation.
The Foundation prides itself on transparency, sharing with each sponsor the quantitative impact their donation has on the lives of youth. Funds are allocated directly to programs in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Rajeshwari spent time discussing the recently successful Digital Youth Employment Initiative in Jamaica and the quickly-approaching graduation of 30 young adults in Haiti, who will receive jobs in the ICT sector at the culmination of their skills training program.
“The Avasant Foundation is grateful for the generous investment and support of our sponsors.
