Michael Stoeckert

Michael has over 35 years of experience in information technology, operations, product strategy, security and systems and over 25 years in the C suite as a COO, CIO, and CTO in Financial Services, Energy, Healthcare, Consulting and Technology companies. Michael is the CEO of The Stoeckert Group which helps companies drive efficient innovation, forge business relationships, and catalyze double-digit growth to advance their vision and mission. This includes advising startups in security, cloud computing, data science, blockchain, product development and SaaS. Prior to joining The Stoeckert Group, Michael was Global CIO of Precision Medicine Group, which is portfolio company of Blackstone that focuses on clinical development and commercialization of rare disease therapies for the pharmaceutical industry.

Prior to PMG, Michael spent much of his career in financial services. He was CIO of ProAssurance Corporation, a specialty insurance carrier. Michael’s diverse experience includes SunGard/FIS, Fiserv, EPL, Macromedia, Ernst and Young, Fidelity Investments, and Electronic Data Systems.

During the 1990s Michael served as a contract CIO/CTO while with Ernst & Young LLP where he helped create and augment e-companies in numerous industries, including financial services, energy, healthcare, airline, manufacturing, retail, and telecommunications.

A significant focus in Michael’s career has been operating large and complex systems, using numerous methodologies to assess the risk of business systems and create approaches to mitigate risk.

Michael also serves on the Audit Committee and the Information Systems committee for the United Way of Central Alabama. Michael received a BAAS in Training and Development and an MBA in Business Finance from the University of North Texas. He also served for six years in the United States Marine Corps with a Top Secret clearance.
