LEAD ATTORNEYS

Kevin Parikh, CEO of Avasant, LLC. and Managing Partner of Avasant Law, LLP, operates at the convergence of consulting and law, specializing in bridging the gaps between legal counsel and business team objectives in complex and global transactions. Focused primarily on technology and sourcing, Mr. Parikh is actively engaged in contract and service level negotiations, joint ventures, strategic management, business risk evaluation and software licensing. Mr. Parikh has been involved in more than 350 IT sourcing and business transactions. These deals have ranged from US$20 million to US$2.5 billion, involving major Tier 1 and Tier 2 service providers. He also was a U.S. Presidential appointee in the Clinton Administration for the One America Campaign.

Mr. Parikh received a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis, in economics and political science and his Juris Doctor from American University.

Ravi Mahalingam is a Managing Partner at Avasant Law, LLP. He has over 20 years experience in intellectual property, international transactions, IT, business process and technology services transactions, cloud services, IT governance and risk mitigation, Data Privacy/Security and New Media. With extensive contract negotiations and legal analysis experience, he has supported multiple high profile clients on several multi-million dollar transactions, including numerous Fortune 500/100 entities, State and Local Gov’t and NGO entities. He has worked extensively in matters involving software & technology licensing and strategy risk assessments, data privacy/security for technology services transactions.

Mr. Mahalingam has a J.D. degree from the UCLA School of Law, a Master’s degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a B.A. in political science from Binghamton University (S.U.N.Y.).

George Clark is a business consulting expert for Avasant Law, LLP. George leads High Tech and Telecom Practice, with a focus on operationalizing IT strategy and transformation. He has deep knowledge and expertise in large program management and IT services contract management, transactional structuring and deal brokering. Utilizing his broad IT management and governance knowledge, he has developed the strategy and delivered services for state and local governments, and within the healthcare, consumer electronics, financial services, publishing, manufacturing, and consumer retail industries. In one of his many engagements, Mr. Clark developed an IT cost reduction strategy for over $100 million spend annually.

Mr. Clark has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Washington, where he participated in the honors program, and a J.D. from the Pepperdine University School of Law. Since earning his degrees, he has continued his education at the London School of Economics and at the University of San Diego School of Law.

Lavita Serrao is Avasant’s Assistant General Counsel and has over 10 years of experience in the legal outsourcing industry. She has worked with leading global clients assisting them in drafting, negotiating and advising on cloud solutions, software licensing, hardware, maintenance and general facilities. Her extensive experience in procurement advisory, risk management, corporate governance and license optimization has yielded longstanding relationships of trust with clients backed by results.

Her areas of expertise include IT contracts structuring and drafting, complex negotiations, risk management, asset management, corporate governance, global procurement, license optimization and legal process outsourcing.

Ms. Serrao was awarded her BA and LLB from Mumbai University.

Krishnendu Moulick is a Senior Attorney within Avasant Law with over 10 years of experience. He is an experienced Software License Optimization Specialist with working knowledge of global sourcing and procurement and has worked with vendors across the globe, assisting in drafting, negotiation, procurement of ICT products and services through ICT contracts. Mr. Moulick advises and assists in negotiating contracts for the US-based construction and engineering company procurement department. He has drafted legislation for one of the most advanced African nations to form a combined regulator for the communications and broadcasting sector. His key capabilities span ICT contracts drafting and negotiation, corporate procurement strategy for cost optimization, and contract gap assessment.

Mr. Moulick was awarded his B.A. and L.L.B. from Bangalore University and M.B.L from National Law School of India University (NLSIU).

Minal Jahagirdar is a Senior Attorney within Avasant Law. She is an experienced professional with rich working knowledge of drafting and negotiating Information Technology related contracts, viz, Software licensing, IT procurement, SAAS, Master Services Agreement; US and India trademark and copyright search, filing, office action response and litigation. Her experience features handling Contract Lifecycle Management of small, mid and large IT companies.

Her key capabilities span IT contracts, structuring and drafting and IPR management.

Ms. Jahagirdar was awarded her L.L.B. from Nagpur University.

Pooja More is an attorney within Avasant Law.  She is experienced in Drafting, Vetting and Negotiating Legal Agreements like Non-Disclosure Agreements, Service Level Agreements, Software License Agreements, Specialized Service Level Agreements, Teaming Agreement, Subscription Agreements and Software as a service Agreements.
Additionally, she is skilled in handling Company Secretary matters pertaining to Board & General Meetings, Statutory Registers, Statutory Filings and has advised the Board and top management of Compliance applicable to the company and established Board’s responsibilities and best practices according to the secretarial standards.

Ms. More was awarded her B.com. from Mumbai University and her LLB from SNDT University. She also holds a Diploma in Cyber Law from the Asian School of Cyber Law.
