Los Angeles, USA - May 4, 2012 - Avasant proudly sponsored the California County Information Services Directors Association (CCISDA) Spring 2012 Conference. Avasant Partners, Kevin Parikh and Jay Priday attended the event. The CCISDA conference was attended by 30 different counties in the state and also included many of the CIOs and CTOs in the state. The conference theme was to "Inspire...Imagine...Innovate" and included many presentation addressing the theme. California's Secretary of Technology, Carlos Ramos, addressed the conference outlining the key programs going on within the state and actions being taken to support the counties. With shrinking budgets and rising costs, today's state and local governments are experiencing significant cost pressures. In some instances, these pressures are beginning to impact core services such as fire, police and emergency services. IT infrastructure outsourcing and offshoring present an attractive option for cash-strapped governments to reduce costs.
