LOS ANGELES, Nov 14 -- With Malaysia rapidly gaining prominence as a global outsourcing hub, Outsourcing Malaysia (OM) supported by PIKOM, organized the inaugural Outsourcing Malaysia Conference (OMC 2008) in Kuala Lumpur on 12th and 13th Nov 2008.
The theme of OMC 2008 was
"Strategic Imperatives for Outsourcing." The conference is expected to become the annual focal point for buyers and industry leaders to network and deliberate on the latest trends and best practices in this growing industry. The objective of OMC 2008 was to give a stage to Malaysian outsourcing companies to showcase innovation and best practices and provide a channel for global visibility.
Outsourcing is an industry association focused on promoting and developing the outsourcing industry in ; it is a chapter of Pikom (www.pikom.org.my), the national ICT industry association. Outsourcing , was launched by the Prime Minister of Malaysia in 2007, and has since been working tirelessly to galvanize the local outsourcing industry.
PIKOM, the Association of the Computer and Multimedia Industry, represents the information and communications technology (ICT) industry in .
