Avasant Foundation, a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization headquartered in Los Angeles, California, today announced it has received a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation for $460,000 towards implementing jobs-focused Impact Sourcing initiatives in Africa.
The grant comes under the
Rockefeller Foundation's Digital Jobs Africa initiative, launched in May 2013 and whose goal is to impact 1 million lives in six African countries through job creation and skills development for youth who would otherwise have limited access to employment.

Avasant was one of the initial proponents of Impact Sourcing and have had the privilege of working with the Rockefeller Foundation on one of the initial definitive studies on Impact Sourcing. Avasant Foundation was instituted in 2013 by Avasant, a global management consulting firm, to further its corporate social responsibility initiatives by leveraging its expertise in digital technology services, globalization and economic development.
