- IBM is a pioneer of network services and has made significant technical contributions to SD-WAN adoption since starting its practice in 2014. It offers end-to-end managed service offerings under its Network Consulting Services portfolio. One of the key differentiators for IBM is its own network and security solutions
- It has one of the largest technology estates under management (network endpoints and circuits), with diverse portfolio of networking solutions focused on high-value technologies like SDN/NFV
- Its large client base has maximum traction in banking, retail and financial services, which positions the company to support production-grade enterprise adoption of SD-WAN and drive implementation of new use cases
- It uses a combination of proprietary and third-party platforms, tools and frameworks for achieving year-on-year cost reduction and bandwidth optimization in its managed service agreements. Its network management tool NetCool has been well-received among customers
Partnership Ecosystem
- IBM has a vast partnership network of leading players in the SD-WAN ecosystem. It has licensing agreements with platform providers such as Cisco-Viptela, VMware, Juniper Networks, Fortinet, and Versa Networks
