- TCS launched its SD-WAN services in 2017 under its Transformation Services umbrella, backed by strategic partnerships, robust IP and delivery locations across India, China, Europe, North America, and Latin America
- It has taken an IP-driven approach and has made strategic investments in developing reusable assets, including TNaaS Cloud (management tool) and NetAsthra (dashboard and reporting tool). It has also created SD-WAN solutions for multiple verticals (BOTs for QoS, capacity, policy, etc.)
- The practice has 2500+ engineers certified in CCIE/CCNP/CCDA/CCNA, 6000+ IT network engineers, and 600+ SDN technology experts. This is complemented by proven outcomes across 200+ projects and handling ~1M+ network devices
- It has strong and loyal customer base primarily concentrated in the healthcare & life sciences and retail & CPG sectors. Marquee customers include a large global health and hygiene company and a leading Swedish retailer
Partnership Ecosystem
- TCS has collaborated with Versa Networks, leveraging its expertise as platform engineering partner for telecom-related projects
- It has partnered with Intel to co-develop a “network-in-a-box” solution to help retail customers enable in-store WiFi and POS services
- Over the years, it has partnered with various OEMs (Cisco, VMware, Riverbed, Fortinet, Juniper, Nutanix, Hewlett Packard and FatPipe) and service providers (Verizon, Telstra, BT, and Vodafone)
Investments and Innovation
- TCS has established multiple SDN/NFV labs in Chennai, Hyderabad (India) and Cincinnati (US). These labs will be leveraged for competency and training enablement, PoC development of next-gen technologies, and addressing SD-WAN challenges
- It is continuing its efforts to improve its SDN transformation offerings, along with investing in verticalized solutions and automated BOTs for zero-touch operations
