Biography

Mike Wheeler brings over forty years of professional experience, including extensive executive management consulting roles in the energy, construction, and telecommunications industries. He has significant expertise in procurement, contract management, material management, travel and corporate card services, and logistics for all Fluor business lines globally. Wheeler is committed to driving tangible and sustainable results that enhance operational capabilities and performance.​

Mike successfully led the procurement and contracting transformation for Reliance Industries Ltd. in Mumbai, India, where he focused on designing and implementing a new operating model. During that time, he managed a team of seventy professionals through the design, configuration, and implementation phases, including the establishment of a training academy to enhance the commercial competence of the organization. Mike oversaw Fluor’s supply chain entity, dedicated to providing quality, cost-effective procurement services. This involved leveraging strategic supplier relationships in emerging markets like China and India. ​

Mike also ran his own consulting firm, MW Wheeler & Associates, in Dallas, Texas, serving the energy industry in supply chain management, operations and maintenance, capital optimization, and business process reengineering. Mike’s extensive leadership experience spans various international companies, including A.T. Kearney, Gemini, CSC, and Boeing, bringing a wealth of industry knowledge and a global perspective to Fluor’s Supply Chain organization.
