Robotic process automation (RPA) has changed the way organizations operate. By automating repetitive, rule-based tasks, RPA frees up human workers to focus on more strategic and creative endeavors. While RPA offers substantial benefits in terms of efficiency, cost savings, and accuracy, its adoption rate remains relatively low compared to other technologies in our study. Robotic process automation is the use of software “robots” to automate processes that are normally performed by people, typically using multiple business applications. This may or may not include AI-powered RPA. The term does not refer to the use of mechanical robots, such as factory automation or material handling robots. (21 pp., 9 fig.)
