Practice Maturity

  • DXC recently had high-profile appointments including that of new President and CEO, Mike Salvino, Executive Vice President (EVP) and CIO, Chris Drumgoole, and Chief Risk Officer, Carla Christofferson. Carla would lead risk management, including ethics and compliance function, cybersecurity preparedness, resiliency and security, brand protection initiatives and asset protection.
  • It plans to expand its offshore base in India, which houses roughly 40% of its 130,000 global workforce and hire more than 10,000 people in FY20 with the focus on building digital talent and capabilities in emerging technologies.
  • As multi-cloud strategies are increasingly becoming dominant, DXC in partnership with VMware introduced DXC Managed Multi-Cloud Services. It allows the IT teams to deploy common security, governance and compliance framework thus minimizing risk while accelerating cloud adoption.
  • DXC offers a Cyber Reference Architecture (CRA) around which its cybersecurity strategies and capabilities are built. The CRA is compliant with PCI-DSS, ISO/ISE 27002, NIST, CSA, and CCM.

Partnership Ecosystem

  • DXC partnered with Tel Aviv-based security start-up, GuardKnox, to provide real-time monitoring of security incidents for connected vehicles through its SOC.
  • It is also participating in CyberX’s partner program in the IoT security market, which involves various managed service providers (MSPs), systems integrators, consulting firms, distributors, value-added resellers and technology alliance partners.
  • With increased traction for cloud infrastructure solutions, it continues to build its cloud portfolio by entering into strategic partnerships with AWS, Oracle, Microsoft Azure, and recently with Google Cloud.

Investments and Innovation

  • With a focus on Asia region, DXC opened a SOC in Malaysia to provide 24x7x365 cyber threat detection and response services to customers in financial services, travel and transportation, and media and entertainment.
  • It made significant investments in the Nordics. It acquired Syscom, a ServiceNow partner, which helps DXC to extend its security operations and service management capabilities in Norway. It has also acquired Logicalis SMC in the Netherlands and BusinessNow in Denmark.
  • It strengthened its digital transformation services by acquiring, Virtual Clarity, a cloud migration solution provider. This builds on it’s earlier acquisition of Luxoft and complements it’s cloud, platform, and IT modernization capabilities.
